John Hayworth, known as The Spectre, is training in The Black Forest. He faces the venomous spiders when he hears a voice behind him: The Stranger. The Stranger invites John back to The Citadel to discuss important matters. At the Citadel, The Stranger reveals that The Spectre oversees the most dangerous and essential task he has ever faced. He must perform the “Infernal Nova” spell, which will free the Nightshadows from the confines of Salem. To do so, The Spectre must retrieve two essential elements and perform the spell in the Obsidian Stone during the Eclipse night. Again, The Spectre is the only hope for the Nightshadows because he is the only one who can leave Salem. The Stranger gives The Spectre the Blazewing, the ancient artifact book written by Lilith – it contains advanced spells that will help The Spectre in his treacherous journey. Finally, The Stranger reveals where John should start: Northfort – a secret refuge of The Nigthshadows. There, he will find the exact location of the first element.
Thanks to The Flamestone, The Spectre opens a portal to reach Northfort. He lands in a cold and dark place. He takes a stick, and with a spell, he lights up a fire on it. As The Spectre walks, he reaches a sealed gate. The Spectre takes the Blazewing from his bag and searches for the spell to open the gate. As he finds it, he performs the spell of opening the gate. The place becomes darker and colder as John starts hearing creepy noises. Suddenly, a female voice is heard. She asks for help. As John follows the voice, he reaches a girl trapped in a mystical purple aura. The Spectre is diffident, so he asks for details about her. The girl answers that her name is Evelyn Madison. She is a lost Nightshadows, born with the gift of casting protection spells. Her mother succeeded in hiding her and her sister Ava from The Entity. Now, The Entity has captured her sister and imprisoned her. Due to the absence of training, she failed to cast the spell to save her sister. She says that her sister is imprisoned in the Infinity Tower – the place where it is stored the Obsidian Stone. Sharing their final destinations, John decides to free Evelyn and pursue her on the journey. Exploring the Northfort, they notice murals featuring the wars between the Nigthshadows and The Entity. As they kept exploring the place, they came across a small altar glowed in purple when they approached it. A hologram appears featuring a creature sealed in a hutch. As the hologram keeps showing that, The Flamestone glows in red, opening a portal in front of them. John and Evelyn step into a place that is darker than the Northfort.
With the flame stick in his hand, followed by Evelyn, John walks until he reaches the cage. Inside it, a creature comes closer to them – The Necromancer. Evelyn says that the Necromancer is a mystical creature loyal to the Nightshadows. He sealed its bond with the Nightshadows with his precious rip. That is the first element they need to retrieve. Unfortunately, the Necromancer is unwilling to give his precious rip. They must open the cage enchanted with magic cast by The Entity. As John takes the book, he searches for the spell and finds it. He tries to perform it but fails, shattering the rage of the Necromancer, who thinks they are imposters. Evelyn decides to help him, performing the spell together. They touch the two corners of the cage and recite the spell. The red aura surrounding the cage vanishes into the purple aura of the Nightshadows. As the Necromancer is free, he will give his precious rip. Evelyn takes a vial and seals the rip into it. The Flamestone glows and opens a portal before them as she does it.
As they enter the portal, they reach a dark place different from the previous one –an infernal heat. As John and Evelyn keep walking, they hear a roar that scares Evelyn – she takes John’s hand and holds it. John and Evelyn exchange a fleeting look. As they keep walking, an armored creature materializes in front of them. Evelyn recognizes him as the Dryad, a mystical creature created by The Entity through a spell bonded by the blood of some of The Entity's most powerful magic wielders. They must retrieve the blood from the creature, but its armor makes it nearly impossible to break. As a fight occurs, The Dryad seriously injures Evelyn with a cut on her belly intrinsic to black magic. John understands magic can’t defeat The Dryad, so he takes his Shadow Shards. Thanks to them, he succeeds in defeating The Dryad. Ultimately, he takes the vial, cuts his armor, and pours the blood into the vial. With Evelyn struggling with her life, John searches desperately in the Blazewing to find a cure spell. He finds it and performs it, healing Evelyn. A fleeting, intense look occurs but is interrupted by The Flamestone, who glows and opens a new portal.
John and a struggling Evelyn reach the final location – The Infinity Tower. They notice some flying creatures. John is about to enter the tower, but Evelyn stops him. She warns John that they are the Ashsouls, mystical creatures created by The Entity that are fed from souls. They are nearly impossible to kill. John and Evelyn quietly infiltrate the tower. They see something terrifying: the Ashsouls are feeding the souls of dozens of people with their deadly kiss. The people then convert into ashes. As John and Evelyn keep up, they reach the dungeons of the tower, finding and freeing Ava. As they try to reach the Obsidian Stone, some Ashsouls get Ava and give her their deadly kiss – killing her. She becomes ashes. With Evelyn broken with pain, John does the impossible to take and get her near the Obsidian Stone. Hundreds of Ashsouls are now standing before them, ready to consume their souls. While Evelyn is shaken, John tries eliminating some of them with his Shadow Shards. As hope seems lost, Evelyn erupts in pain, unleashing a black aura around her and John – she finally performs the protection spell. John takes the vials and pours them into the Obsidian Stone. Hand to hand, they recite the spell of the Infernal Nova. A purple aura sparks in the sky, signifying the spell was successful. Different portals open, revealing wielders of The Entity coming across them. Evelyn takes The Flamestone from John and opens a portal. Before the portal closes, one of The Entity destroys the protection spell and gets close to them, but luckily the portal closes in time. Back at the Northfort, a new intense look occurs between John and Evelyn flowing in a lovely kiss. After an intense look, a red glowing portal opens again, and Evelyn, who still holds the Flamestone, pushes John through it. John is now back in Salem before the portal closes. John sits on a rock, confused and with tears in his eyes. John stood before the Eclipse, summoned to his presence. The fate of the Nightshadows hung in the balance, and the battle against The Entity was far from over. Salem's shadows concealed deeper secrets, and John's path was paved with both peril and promise, a testament to his unwavering dedication to a cause greater than himself.
